Privacy Policy
Version 1 · Effective October 13, 2026
3D Printing Builds, LLC (“3D Printing Builds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs https://3dprintingbuilds.com, where we sell STL files, memberships, commercial licenses,
and educational content for the 3D printing community.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We believe privacy should be straightforward, so we’ve written this policy in plain language that’s easy to understand.
We build digital products, memberships, and educational resources for makers, creators, and the 3D printing community.
Effective date: 6/26/2026
Version: 2.2
The Short Version
- We collect the information needed to operate your account, process payments, deliver your purchases, provide support, improve our services, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
- We are not a data broker, and we don’t sell your information for money.
- We do share information with the companies that help us operate, like our payment processors and hosting, and with the ad platforms we advertise on, including Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest, so we can tell whether our ads are working. Some of that advertising activity counts as “sharing” under certain state laws, and you can opt out.
- You can unsubscribe from emails anytime, manage cookies through our banner, and ask us about the information we hold.
The rest of this policy fills in the details.
What We Collect as You Use the Site
We’ve grouped this around the things you actually do, so you can find what’s relevant to you.
When You Create an Account
We collect your name, username, email address, and a securely stored password. This is what lets you log in and keeps your account yours.
When You Make a Purchase
To process your order and keep proper records, we collect your name, billing address, email, and phone number and a shipping address if one applies,
along with what you bought and the amount.
Your payment itself is handled by our payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, and WooCommerce Payments — and your card details are entered with and processed by them.
We never store your full card number or your card security code (CVV).
For billing, refunds, and records, we keep only a secure reference to your card, its last four digits and expiry date, and the transaction number. We use all of this to complete your order, provide records and refunds, handle recurring membership billing, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
When You Arrive Through an Affiliate Link
We run an affiliate program. If you come to us through an affiliate’s referral link, we record the referral, and for a resulting purchase we record the customer name, email, IP address, and sale amount so we can pay the right commission.
When You Download Products and Use Your Membership
Your account keeps track of your membership status, your download history which files you’ve accessed and when, and your remaining download credits.
We use this to give you access to what you’ve paid for, apply your credits correctly, keep accurate records, and spot abuse such as unauthorized file sharing.
When You Sign Up for Emails
If you subscribe, we use an email service provider to manage our newsletters and marketing emails, and we keep your name, email, and a record of how you interact with our emails, such as opens and clicks, along with the IP address you used when you signed up, which helps confirm your consent.
Signing up takes a confirmation step, double opt-in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
When You Visit Our Website
Like most websites, we and our providers automatically collect some technical information — your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived, for example, the campaign or link that referred you.
We use this to keep the site secure, prevent fraud, fix problems, understand how the site is performing, and measure the advertising we pay for. The advertising side of this is explained in Cookies and advertising below.
When You Contact Support
When you reach out, we keep what you share with us so we can help and resolve your issue.
Cookies and Advertising
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
Cookie Type — How We Use It
Essential Cookies — Keep you logged in, remember your cart, run security and bot protection, and remember your cookie choices.
Analytics Cookies — Help us see how the site is used.
Advertising Cookies — Help us measure and deliver advertising, including ads shown on other platforms.
We show a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies and change your preferences anytime.
You can also manage cookies in your browser, though turning some off may affect how the site works.
Analytics and Advertising Partners
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, the Pinterest Tag, and basic WordPress.com/Jetpack statistics to understand how the site performs and to run advertising. Through these, the providers may receive information such as your IP address and the actions you take on the site, which they use under their own privacy policies.
Measuring Our Advertising
So we can tell whether the ads we pay for are working, we also share some purchase and event information directly from our servers with these partners.
For Meta, this includes a scrambled version of your email address that can’t be read directly, your IP address, and details about your purchase; comparable information is shared with TikTok and Google through their integrations.
We do this to measure our advertising — not to sell your information. Because it’s part of advertising, some of it may count as “sharing” or a “sale” under certain state laws, and you can opt out. See Your choices.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your information for money. We share it only in these situations:
Who We Share With — Why We Share It
Companies that help us run the business — Acting only on our behalf: Stripe, PayPal, and WooCommerce Payments for payments, SiteGround for hosting and security, Cloudflare for delivery, security, and bot protection, and our email service provider for email.
Advertising and analytics partners — Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest to measure and improve the ads we pay for, as described above.
Our affiliate program — To attribute and pay commissions on referred purchases.
Legal and safety reasons — When we reasonably believe it’s needed to follow the law, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, or protect people’s rights and safety.
Business transfer — Such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case we’ll take reasonable steps to keep your information protected.
Your Choices
You have real control over your information:
Emails
Unsubscribe anytime from the link in any marketing email. We may still send you account, order, or security messages.
Cookies
Accept or decline non-essential cookies through our banner, and change your mind whenever you like.
Advertising
Even though we don’t sell your information for money, some of our advertising may count as “sharing” or a “sale” under certain state laws. You can opt out through our cookie banner and through each platform’s own ad settings Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest.
To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, use Google’s add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Access, Correction, and Deletion
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to records we’re required to keep, such as order and tax information. Contact us using the details below, and we may need to verify your identity first.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it for the purposes described here, including to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify it.
How We Protect Your Information
We rely on reputable hosting, security, and payment partners, serve the site over an encrypted connection, limit who can access account data, and use account and technical information to detect and prevent fraud and abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we can’t promise absolute security.
Children
The site is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16.
If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps to remove it.
Where Your Information Is Processed
We operate from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and wherever our service providers operate.
If you use the site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date above and post the new version here,
and we may email registered users about significant changes.
Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information,
we’d rather answer them than leave you guessing. Feel free to contact us anytime.
